This national monument, built in 1885, is the oldest shopping mall in the Netherlands, and well-known in The Hague and surrounding area. In cooperation with Kentie en Partners Architekten, De Passage has been thoroughly restored and redeveloped. Both the ornamentation and the exquisite granito floor have been restored, and contemporary lighting, new facades, and two bridges added, making the shopping units and upper spaces well-accessible once more. De Passage makes use of a high-end business pattern and is still a premium prime shopping area, more than a century after it was first built.
