Amadeus

A hybrid residential and shopping complex making for improvement of the historic city center of The Hague.

On the corner of Spui and Kalvermarkt in the heart of The Hague, on the site of an outdated building, we developed the hybrid residential and shopping complex Amadeus. Here, the Irish Primark chain now rents three stories totaling 8,000 square meters. On the eleven floors above, we developed 36 luxury owner-occupied and 40 rental apartments around a green courtyard garden. Underneath the complex is a parking garage.

With Amadeus, we not only improved the quality of the historic city center and enlarged the A1 shopping area; we also prove that large retail formulas do not have to resort to peripheral shopping areas, but can find attractive locations in city centers as well.
